This new series of elegant pieces is inspired by whimsical organic forms such as the ovaloid shape. Neither purely sculptural, nor purely utilitarian, the objects evoke the formal subtlety and simplicity found in contemporary Japanese design. Another special quality that comes to the fore is the delicate balance between the glazed interior of the pieces and the raw surface of their exterior.
